- Sponsorship is a very important part of our show. Each sponsor will be announced during our show and name placed in the show catalog. Thank you for helping, we can’t do this show without your help!
- Show Rules: This is a Dual sanctioned ILR & ALSA show. Clerking is not an easy job!! Therefore, you must be a current member of ALSA. A ‘pending’ ALSA number will not be accepted. ALSA will allow one show per year for free. The show will run according to the rules/guidelines in the ALSA current edition handbook and the current edition of the ILR Show Division guidelines.
- Stalling: 10×10 horse stalls located in the horse barn, 2 adults per stall and 3 juveniles per stall. Exhibitors will provide their own bedding. To help the show crew, please clean out your bedding before you leave. You may stall out of your trailer but must make sure all manure or debris is cleaned up before leaving.

- Join or re-join HLAA right now with your entries, and you are paid up for the year of 2026. (If you had re-joined with the Fall Show entries, please wait until this fall.)
- Health Requirements: All animals coming from out of state must have a veterinarian health certificate dated within 30 days of exhibition.
- Eligibility: All llamas must have ILR certificates except for animals for Youth or non-breeder ALSA classes. Proof of ownership must be provided. If you are showing an animal owned by someone else, the owner must sign the entry form or include a permission to show form found on the ALSA website.

- Arrival: Arrival time for all exhibitors starts at 12pm on Friday. Stalls will be pre-assigned.

- Departure: All bedding must be put outside in the bunker at the end of barn before departure. Please!
- Manure: Please do not put any straw, hay or manure in trash cans! Leave all bedding, manure, and hay in the bunker near the barn.
- Wool & age Division: Each animal must be entered in its appropriate age and wool division as specified in the ALSA & ILR Guidelines. Animal wool division may not be changed after entries close unless moved with the approval of the judge.
Suri: The fiber of a Suri Llama should have a natural luster and hang and drape over the llamas body, forming a natural part along the spine. The fibers are grouped into a very distinctive and well defined lock structure, which is indicated by the many individual separate locks of fiber formed at the skin and carrying out to the ends of each lock.
Silky: Then fiber exhibits a very soft or silky handle, may exhibit some wave or crinkle but not crimp, and may exhibit some loft and luster. Guard hair is nearly indiscernible and coverage may vary from light to heavy.
Classic: Minimal body wool with smooth head and legs. Obvious guard hair and mane.
Light: Minimal body wool, short neck wool with smooth legs.
Medium: Moderate to long body wool, minimal to moderate neck wool, smooth to moderate leg wool.
Heavy/Extremely Heavy: Abundant body and neck wool with minimal to abundant leg wool.
Non-Breeder, Get of Sire, Produce of Dam: See association guidelines with questions.
Age division:
Llama age division:
Juvenile 5 to 12 months of age
Yearling 12 to 24 months of age
Two-year-old 24 to 36 months of age
Adult 36 months of age and over
Youth age Division: Junior: Handler age 7 through 11
Intermediate: Handler age 12 through 14
Senior: Handler age 15 through 18
- Performance Classes:
An animal may only be shown in one performance class/division, except for Sub-Jr.
Please review and understand any newly updated guidelines regarding Novice, Advanced, and Master divisions.
Advanced and Masters may be combined depending on entries.
- Nearby Hotels/Restaurants: There are many options only minutes from the fairgrounds.

12 pm- Begin exhibitor arrival
Saturday May 23:
8:00 am- Exhibitor meeting
8:15 am- Showmanship- starting with Adult
Followed by Halter classes- starting with Non-breeder.
We will break for a lunch when it works with the schedule
Performance will begin after halter classes- starting with Novice Pack
Sunday May 24:
8am- Performance continues
